Double Whammy!
Wednesday 28. November (HMG) - [Put online Wednesday 28. November]
Today was Augusto's birthday - and a big one! He's now a very happy 25 year old! Or 2 year old if you'd looked at his right cheek today... :)
It all started last night when Kerri, Deirdre and myself went shopping for B-day presents for Augusto and Erin, since we'd decided to hold a double birthday celebration at the CoHo on Wednesday. The results can be seen below...

The day started quietly enough with Augusto arriving late for lunch on the 3rd floor (hence the few people)...
We gave him the traditional balloon shower before...
... breaking out the face paint that Sarah brought in today! :)
Deirdre and Kerri both attacked!!
This was no easy task!! Augusto was under strick instructions
not to move a facial muscle!!
And here we have the final result! What a fine nose job you did Kerri!! :)
Then it was time to open the "real present" which we'd decided to give at lunch time since it was just so darn heavy we didn't want to carry it to the CoHo...
It was a BIG box...
Ooohh! It's a set of plates and stuff!! It's even got 6 napkin rings!!
Laura will be pleased!! :) When's the next pizza party?! :)
Augusto plays model... Should he do this for a living?! Hmmm...

Kerri then made Augusto a Balloon Friend
But of course he also needed a dose of his own medicine so we gave him
some electrically induced Mega-Ears! :)
Finally he wrapped himself in the wrapping paper - and then it was time for class!
At 5:30pm we met up again - but this time at the CoHo.

We started with Erin since her birthday was the first one.
Here she is in her "normal" attire...
... and here she is in her WONDERFUL birthday clothes! :)
And for her "real" present she got five pairs of funky socks for her collection! :)
Then it was onto Augusto. This is him with his birthday card.
We told him it had "special relevance"... which made him look slightly alarmed... :)
Deirdre and Kerri rushed up to apply the present as
Augusto unwrapped it... (notice what Deirdre is holding)...
"A white towel and safety pins?!??!?!?! Whaaat!??!?!"
All of a sudden it became crystal clear!! It was a humongous diaper!!
"What are you guys doing to me?!?!?"
And then for the all-important accessories!! First up ...
The Dummy and the Bib! :)
Next up... The Rattle!
Fayaz (and the rest of us) were literally crying with laughter at this point...

We ended up putting Augusto up on the High Chair since it was time for dinner... ;)
Nah, he only got a cookie (the wailing really helped there)... :)

And that's it for birthdays for 3 months now. The next birthday (we know about) is in March 2002...
