Kerri's B-day
Saturday 13. October (HMG) - [Put online Monday 15. October 2001]
Surpise, surprise!! This page is in English!! But don't get your hopes up - it won't happen again any time soon!!! ;)
Anyway... the reason for the English-ness is so that Kerri can enjoy it to the fullest - which is very important since today is her birthday!! She's now 23 years old (what a baby!!) but that's not her fault! ;)
In honor of her birthday a group of us went out to dinner at Scott's Seafood Grill and Bar on Saturday night and had a real good time. Now - a few months back Kerri made the grevious mistake of giving me a princess crown for my b-day to be worn in public - and thus was born the tradition of the "awful prop/s". Since then Viola's received a feathery neck-thing, Deirdre was magic-ed up, Taly got a housecoat and duster, Todd found himself in a feathery hat and Dave got hideous boxer-shorts... It should therefore be no surprise that Kerri's been murmuring "I'm soooo scared of what you're going to do to me" for the past three weeks... which is sort of like waving a red flag in front of a bull (me being the bull) or walking around with a "Kick me" on your back - and the result should not surprise you: ;)

Due to extreme busyness for the past weeks nothing had really been planned for the night... so on Saturday I went shopping in Walmart and before I knew it, some rabbit ears from the halloween-isle had jumped into my hands! They were soon followed by some nice gloves and a microphone from Target... and Deirdre and Matt put on the finishing touches by aquiring a bow-tie and fishnet stockings!! ;)
Anyway - the evening started politely enough with a nice warm-up at Kerri's and Taly's place.

So now we're at the restaurant. Here is John (Kerri's boyfriend) and
Fayaz seems to be ordering. Next to him is Matt.
For some reason Joe is the only normal person in this picture (the other two are
Deirdre and Tim). Something must be seriously wrong with the universe!!! ;)
Kerri slightly anxious - and so she should be!!
First gag-gift... what a brave girl!
Ahh... a nice Mars one! :) Now she's all happy
and hoping that was it... Oh how it wasn't!! ;)
She couldn't resist tearing the Lego box open though and
put up this nice little nose just for the camera...
And now for gag-gift pack #2... Now doesn't that look pretty?!?! ;)
A few moments later and the mike and gloves were
firmly in place... Did I mention that the gloves are for 6 year olds?... ;)
And then for the last and most-important part...!!
"I'm being mistreated!!" and "Why me?!?!" all rolled into one. ;)
Oh no!! More Stuff!! Won't this never end?!?!
And on goes the bow-tie... Now we just had to make a quick stop at
the lady's room and The Bunny was complete! ;)
Yup... what a nice little bunny... :)
Hey... How's Hugh Hefner doing these days?!
And thus the night went on with innumerable bunnyjokes and personal
requests from the other guests whom we didn't know at all!!
She also got "proper" gifts i.e. bike stuff for her brand spankin' new road bike! :)
And then the food came ... and Augusto needed a little help.
He'd ordered himself some "Sand-dune" or "Sand-dan" or something
which makes sense since he's raised in the desert of New-Mexico
But I guess the sand-dunes in New-Mexico don't have bones in theim... ;)

Kerri had mild trouble eating which was no surprise since there weren't any
carrots!!
After dinner Kerri made the rounds much to Luiz's pleasure... ;)
John enjoyed the show... I wonder if he got a private one later?! hehe...;)
And then it was time for the birthday song... which for some
reason hardly ever puts a smile on anybody's face!!
And that was pretty much it for the night!! The bill was astronomical but we managed to avoid doing the dishes with the help of Augusto the Cashier who co-ordinated the paying-process. We then pretty much split up and went our separate ways - all smiling with the eternal image of Kerri the Play-Bunny etched in our minds forever... ;)
