Addictions!  (uhh... I mean "stuff I like"...! :)

I have this funny tendancy to "over-like" some things... i.e. they get on my brain and won't go away! Here's a rundown, more or less in chronological order, of the first few...

Brain-stumper No.0 Duran Duran.  My teenage "idols" and subjects of innumerable day-dreams.  Luckily this was over before I turned 10 years old! (#singing# "The ReFleX..." :)
Brain-clogger No.1: Tetris!  As played on our OLD Machintosh computer.  I walked around, went to sleep and woke up turning blocks around in my head... rather scary!
Brain-drainer No.2: UFO.  A pretty old computer game by MicroProse... Killed aliens all day long and researched their technology... I'm sure it was all mind control!!
Brain-teaser No.3: R.E.M. and Michael Stipe's amazing vocals.  Listened to "Out of Time" and "Automatic for the People" until the cd's almost went up in flames!!  Ended up buying ALL their albums and still have no clue as to what most of their songs are about!  Can't wait for their next album though... :)
Brain-twister No.4 The Matrix.  I was sceptical of this "reality" before I saw it and I'm not sure I'm ever going to recover!!... The DejaVus are particularly scary... ;)
Brain-fiddler No.5 Buffy the Vamp Slayer!!!  Rated as a "slight" obsession.   Probably brought on by that "forbidden-love" thingy and an unhealthy craving for Californian "slang"... :)
Brain-kidder No.6 X-men.   Maybe not a fullblown addiction but certainly rekindled my interest in comics... and reminded me of my Batman days... #sigh#
Brain-taker No.7 LOTR.  Actully more of a long borne interest than an obsession (especially when compared to the true LOTR obsessives) - but it's pretty clear where I'm going to be spending my time around Christmas in 2002 and 2003...
